Community Enterprise & Sustainable Funding
Our Goal: To establish a perpetual funding model that ensures the continuity and scalability of our outreach. Our focus is on entrepreneurial leadership and financial self-reliance.
What We Do: We champion a proactive approach to funding our mission. We embrace Community Enterprise by actively generating our own resources through creative labor and community value creation. This means our team creates services (like neighborhood assistance) and deploys products (like art and books) to raise essential revenue. This hands-on, sustainable approach ensures that every item we deliver is backed by our own initiative and strategic effort.
Featured Projects:
- Entrepreneurial Aid for Homeless Communities: We spearheaded grassroots fundraising by organizing and executing neighborhood job drives and multiple summer lemonade stands. The funds raised were directly used to purchase and distribute critical supplies (such as food, blankets, and hygiene kits) for homeless adults residing in Tent City 4 in North Bend, WA, and other local shelters. (Impact: Provided critical supplies to over 75 adults.)
- Back-to-School Campaign for Underserved Youth: We managed the entire supply chain and fundraising lifecycle for this campaign—from taking neighborhood jobs to coordinating the purchase and packing of supplies. Our work ensured 500 Hispanic elementary school children from underserved communities registered with Children's Home Society of WA received essential school bags and stationary.
- Pacific Northwest Youth Expo Enterprise: We developed and marketed handmade products (greeting cards and children's storybooks) from scratch at the NW Youth Entrepreneur Expo. All revenue generated was directly donated to partner NGOs to provide essential supplies to over 300 registered underserved families with Akin organization in the Greater Seattle area.
